Breast cancer can now be prevented with simple lifestyle modifications and healthier ways of life, setting aside genetic reasons, which contributes for only 8-10 percent of breast cancers in women.

While most individuals are aware of the disease’s causes, signs and symptoms, and the level of damage it may inflict, many of us neglect to take preventative measures, change our lifestyles, and devise a plan to detect the condition early on.

We often know what is beneficial to do, but we ignore it, blaming it on our busy schedules and other such justifications.

Although there has been significant progress in raising breast cancer awareness, there is still a long way to go!

This Awareness Month, let us all start educating those around us of the symptoms of discomfort and help them overcome it. Fear is what holds people back, but when we are cognizant of it and trained, we don’t have to worry or be afraid of anything.
